Book Week will run from Monday February 28 to Friday March 4th. It’s bound to rain at least once over half term so why not get ahead with your costumes? Remember, the judges always like homemade best!

Some children from Year Five and Three represented the school at a Panathlon yesterday. They did an amazing job!

All the children who took part received their Bikeability certificates and badges this week. They have been proudly wearing the badges around school.

Year Five we’re very excited to receive a certificate and photograph from Robinwood (even if some of the faces tell you otherwise!)

Reception have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year this week. 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. We have acted out the Zodiac story and moved like the different animals in PE, tried some Chinese food, painted good luck messages and tigers, had a go at writing Chinese numbers, created a new year feast and even done some lion dancing!

This afternoon has been about making tints and shades in Art this afternoon. We used white to make tints and black to make shades.

In Year 1 we have loved designing and making our own fruit salads. Yesterday we discussed where food comes from (animals and plants). We chose the fruit we wanted to have in our salad and made two designs. We discussed and drew how we wanted our salad to look like. There are some future chefs in the making!

Year 2 are focusing on Art this week in our afternoon lessons. Today we explored making the secondary colours using poster paint and powder paint. Apologies for the mess of some of the children today after using powder paint…🙈 🎨
