A team of 12 runners competed in the cross country event at Sedbergh School.
Running conditions were icy and rocky even with a little bit of snow.
Schools from all over Cumbria competed in the event with around 75 runners per race.
The course was hard with all the hills and they also had to sprint finish on a hill.
They even had to follow a hare (not the animal but somebody to follow in case you forget the course).
The Year 4 girls and boys and did amazingly well. We had two boys running for the Year 5. We also had four children running from Year 6.
Three children from SJB are now off to the next round in Leicester. National Finals!!!
Thank you for your report Robyn.
12 of our SJB runners were in Casterton today competing in a large X Country event.
The course was slippy and difficult to negotiate.
We have several runners heading to the National Championships in Leicester.
Great effort SJB. We are all very proud!

We are delighted that the new Spellbinding – Reading for Pleasure – books have landed. Thank you for your support via the Co op and the PTA.

Well done to all of our trophy winners.
We enjoyed celebrating with you.
Thank you to parents for joining us and to Brad for bringing the trophies.

What a wonderful nativity performance tonight at the Methodist Church. The children put on a fantastic show and looked like they were having a great time. Year 2 had clearly worked really hard to learn their lines and act out all the parts while Year 1, Reception and Nursery joined in with lots of singing and dancing. What a great way to finish the term and celebrate Christmas together. Well done children and a big thank you to all the staff who made it happen.
Happy Christmas everyone🌲
