The Reception Class have been celebrating Chinese New Year. 2020 is the Year of the Rat, the first zodiac sign. The children have been learning the story of the Chinese Emperor’s animal race and discovered they are either a horse or a goat. They played drums and cymbals as the dragons danced around the hall to chase any evil spirits away. Later on, we listen to some Chinese music and played some percussion instruments to accompany it.
