We know there are some great cartoonists at SJB so we thought you might enjoy entering this competition over the summer holidays. The challenge is to create a biographic comic by the competition deadline of the 25th September 2020. Entries will be sent in via school, so speak to your teachers once we come back after the summer holidays. If you are one of the lucky entries your work will feature at The Lakes International Comic Art Festival.

Another great week is planned on BBC Bitesize. We especially like the look of the cooking ideas – yummy! Send us pictures of any recipes you make.

In Year 3 today, we let our creativity flow with the small parts play. The children loved investigating all the shapes and working out how to position and balance them to get the effect they wanted.

Year 1 decided that they wanted to climb and make a laser challenge during playtime today!

Today we worked extremely hard on our writing. We wrote sentences about different superheroes and then had some fun writing superhero words like pow. This afternoon we enjoyed catching and throwing bibs and balls.

Thank you to the parents who purchased these books for school. They will look great in our reading areas next year. 🙂
