Today was a great success despite the weather; many, many thanks.

Today was a great success despite the weather; many, many thanks.

Not quite as sunny today. In fact, not sunny at all! However we don’t let the occasional downpour get us down. A good, if slightly damp, time was had by all.

Lovely weather, hills climbed, dens built, trees climbed, sandwiches eaten – what else could we ask for?

The Bright Stars campaign has been a big success. Look out for our posters in town. The final survey is coming up as well.

We had a great time and collected so much rubbish that Mrs Ambrose had to dash back to school with filled bags. Thank you to Florrie, Joseph, Skyla, Louise and SLDC for providing equipment. Thanks also to Louise’s grandma and Alleah’s mum and brother for helping out.
Well done Year 6, we are very proud of you!

We were absolutely delighted that Lakeland Orienteering were able to present trophies to Woody, Emily and Florrie. Mr Maher received the overall winner’s trophy. Well done SJB and a big thank you to Mr Maher and Lakeland Orienteering.

It was great to see our Team GB athlete at SJB yesterday.
Ayaz gave a whole school assembly and we will take his message about resilience forward into the new academic year.
All the children then took part in a fitness circuit with Ayaz.
We wish him and all of Team GB well at the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. Best of luck with being selected Ayaz!

Following the History work on our local area, some of Year 2 have been out and about exploring!
