Year 6 competed in their last sports day last week.

We could not have asked for more from you. 100% effort was shown by all and we could see that every single one of you wanted to succeed.

6 trophies have been awarded to you.

We are very sad to see you go but so many of you have great potential in sport. We look forward to hearing about your successes as secondary school. Good luck.

We could not be more proud of our Year 5 children. Your behaviour was outstanding and you competed like true athletes.

You are going to be brilliant role models for our younger children.

The sun shone, there were ice lollies and games galore… and just for once, it was OK to play around in the mud! We all had a great time; the only slightly sad thing was that this was Mrs Barber’s last day at SJB. Oh, Mrs Barber, you’ve been brilliant! How we shall miss you next year. Of course we all wish you the very happiest of retirements and thank you so much for all you have done at SJB.

Year 1 enjoyed some forest schools this afternoon. They made beautiful prints using a leaf and a hammer. They were very careful with the tools and listened very well. A big thank you goes to Mrs Macleod for her knowledge of different trees! ⭐️ 🌟

Year 3 climbed Hoad today and then spent the day at Ford Park.

It was hot all the way up but nobody complained. They all carried their belongings up the hill and walked brilliantly along the roads. We told them that they were in charge of their water and nobody ran out while we were walking.

We saw Sca Fell Pike, which the children have learnt about in geography.

Our games included, bazooka, chain tig, camouflage and All Off. The children will definitely want to play these again!

Year 1 loved their sports activities this morning. They did a lot of running, races, catching, throwing and even obstacle courses! Everyone participated well and put in 100% effort. Well done! 🌟

Year 1 have had a fantastic day in Grizedale. They have been very well behaved, listened carefully and were very active. They even jogged and ran a lot of the trails. 😂 They should all sleep soundly tonight. Here’s a snapshot of our day!

Year 2 have had a fantastic day at Grizedale today! We’ve walked 5 miles and completed different activities on the way. The children loved exploring and playing in the forest with each other!
