We have started our history topic learning about this area in Victorian times. We will be studying work, education and housing. After our introductory lesson, we decided to investigate some Victorian artefacts and games.

What an amazing turn out for the lantern procession this evening, It was great to see so many SJB families enjoying the event either walking in the procession or spectating.
Well done team SJB.

The lantern is finished!
Thank you to the reception class, Mrs Milby, and Tess and Sophie in year 6 for all your hard work.
We all love reading here at SJB so it just had to be a book this year.
Please join us tomorrow for the procession. 7pm at the auction market on North Lonsdale Road.

This week year one have been showing off their creative side. This week we have been focusing on Art. This unit builds on our last two weeks learning where we found out all about plants. Yesterday we sketched and planned what our clay flowers would look like and today we made them using different techniques in the clay. 💐🌸🌹🌺🌷🌻🌼🥀

Ulverston lantern procession is on Saturday 25th September.
The reception class have taken on the challenge of producing the SJB lantern for 2021 and it’s slowly starting to take shape.
Anyone from the SJB community is welcome to walk with us. You could help to carry our lantern or bring along your own if you have made one. The theme this year is ‘My Favourite Things’.
Please meet at the auction market at 7pm if you are going to join us. We hope to see you there.

We’re all a little tired and slow today (the 3 children in Year 5/6 are absolutely fine of course!).
Thank you for all the support.

Please do watch the Blue Peter episode from yesterday.
Our Team GB athlete from last year is on it.
