Thank you to our amazing PTA

Thanks to our PTA and the generous support from parents and carers, we are taking part in the Cumbria Libraries Spellbinding project in Years 5 and 6. Look at all these lovely books. I think I might have to hide them from the staff!

Digital painting

Year 1 have been learning how to paint on the iPads this week. They started off by painting self-portraits using the app Doodle Buddy. They then moved onto using the app Tayasui sketches to emulate different artists such as Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky and George Seurat. They used a range of brush strokes, tools and colours to create digital masterpieces.

A visit from our governor

Mr Lister came to visit Nursery on Friday morning. He popped in to meet the children and find out about the books they love to read. It didn’t take very long before he was surrounded by boys and girls wanting to share their favourite story. Eventually, he decided to read about the adventures of ‘Supertato’ and everyone loved hearing about how their favourite superhero saved the day for all the vegetables in the supermarket.

Thanks, Mr Lister. We loved having you in our class and hope you come again soon.
