SJB Primary School

It has been a very busy and successful week of sport for SJB.

Our children were in action again today playing football and netball.

Our netball team won the St Mary’s Gala trophy after several brilliant games. Getting into the final came down to a points difference of just 1 goal. Team work was on show throughout. They trusted each other too!

We are very proud of our footballers who played against some superb teams.

Thank you to our very supportive and enthusiastic parents! Your encouragement is much appreciated. Our cheering section was brilliant in the netball final!

All of our 16 KS2 children bettered their times from their 1st competition today.

Brilliant effort for all of you.

Polly came 4th in her race. That is a great achievement considering she raced as a Year 3 in the Year 4 race!

Maddie came 2nd in the Y5 girls’ race. She paced herself superbly and moved from 6th to 2nd in the space of 1 lap.

Noah from Y5 won his race. He competed in the Y6 boys’ race and left the rest of field far behind!

A small group of Year 6 went to Furness Academy this morning and did SJB proud.

They raced individually and in relays in the School Games competition.

Despite being 1 cyclist short, they won their races and came back to school full of the joys of spring!

Well done to our team of Year 5 and 6 girls for their fantastic result today.

They played in 3 games in the UVHS cricket competition and won all of them.

They play together outside of school and they have been outside 3 times a week at lunchtime too.

Well deserved girls. Brilliant!

Many apologies, I forgot to advertise the library for Year 3 this morning.

If you are in Year 3, you are welcome to visit the library with Year 4 tomorrow morning.

Year 5 on Wednesday and Year 6 on Thursday.

We had a lovely afternoon.

Well done to Flynn who has moved onto the Year 5 and 6 Ultimate Learn It’s this morning after getting full marks on his test. The first child in key stage 1 to ever do this! Well done! 🌟

Today we are having a plant sale in the junior playground at 3:00pm. We are selling sunflowers,cosmos and much more.They are 50p-2.00pounds.
