We had an excellent day at Greenlands Village Farm.
Our guides were great and the children really enjoyed exploring the farm.
They may have also enjoyed their time in the superb Play barn!!!

Our cricket team could not attend the county cricket in Keswick today due to it being cancelled.
We decided to go down to Ulverston CC as the team thoroughly deserved to compete today.
You have been a great team Year 6. You will be missed.

Well done Year 2 for giving sports day your all. From space hopper races to obstacle courses, you all did great!

This morning SJB was very lucky to watch our Performing Arts members have their final dress rehearsal of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies. In the afternoon, they did a brilliant job in their first performance to parents and carers. We are so proud of all the work you’ve put in. Well done to all involved!

We really enjoyed our visit. Lisa and her team made us feel so very welcome. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon. We learnt a lot and really liked the song… and the ice cream!
Year 5 and 3 had finalised their Storytelling project by performing at the Storyfair this morning at the Coronation Hall. The children were BRILLIANT!! They performed their stories with such confidence and flare. Well done.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to Dominic and John who have worked so hard and made this such a fun project.

We were really lucky to have Mr Dobson to lead our geography field trip to Gill Banks Beck. We observed a great deal a great deal, including the difference between riffles and pools and were able to measure the speed of water flow. We also identified creatures of the river bed and bank. Thank you, Mr Dobson, for your guidance and expertise. We really enjoyed the experience and learnt such a lot.

Well done all those at SJB who climbed the Head this week. As the song goes ‘Climb every mountain…’ (and ‘ford every stream’: see Year 4’s next trip.) Special praise and thanks to Mr Maher and Mrs Whitworth, who walked up the Hoad with every group and helped us to raise such an amazing amount.
