We are having a fantastic time in the Natural History Museum.

This week Years 1,3,4 and 6 took part in some STEAM music workshops from Conductive Music. The workshops showed the connection between science and music. Some of the activities included creating graphite soundboards, discovering which objects would create music attached with wires to the iPad and creating a soundtrack for a game. We would like to say a huge thank you to Dr Li for providing such interesting and engaging sessions. The children had a brilliant time!

We have had an amazing morning showing our World Book Day costumes.

After exploring the work of Becca Boyce and Elizabeth Blackadder, we used a range of different objects to create our own prints inspired by nature.

We visited the library and shared a book with a partner.

We talked about where, how and what we liked to read. Then we gathered our thoughts on a ‘Reading Doodle’ sheet. ‘Book talk’ is a very popular activity in Year 2!

We served 169 lunches today and the children loved it!

On Monday, we did some balancing in PE with Tom.

Then we took some photos and experimented with how light can affect the quality of the images.

On Tuesday, despite the cold weather, we went outside to do some nature inspired sketching.

On Wednesday, we chose a class book from the shelf to enjoy during the half term break.

We had an amazing time – such a special moment for the school.
