Year 5

Year 5 have been reading the book ‘Who let the gods out’ by Maz Evans. In the book Elliot and Virgo end up going to Stonehenge.

We have been researching and writing facts about Stonehenge. It is important that we remember that when we are researching and writing notes that we always reference where we got our information from. And if you are copying directly from a book or website you need to put that information in quote marks “”.

What facts can you find out about Stonehenge?

On the 21st June was the longest day of the year, which is also know as the Summer Solstice. What links the Summer Solstice and Stonehenge together?

We are also very lucky to live very close to some stone circles! Our nearest one is on Birkrigg. Have you been to our stone circle?
