Year 3 took the role of MPs in our recent School Parliament debate. The motion presented was ‘Man-made climate change is the most important issue facing the U.K.’
The children gave their point of view very clearly whilst respecting the views of others. The whole school listened intently and had the opportunity to discuss their own opinions with one another.
In the end, we had a split decision. 3 children, who were representing MPs, said Man-made climate change is the most important. 3 said that it is important but so are other issues. 2 children were very honest and said they were unsure.
The audience would mostly have voted for the motion: It is the most important issue.
