Year 2 investigate seed dispersal

Year 2 have been looking at the different ways trees disperse their seeds in Science. We also looked at the sycamore tree seeds and made our own paper versions.

Art in Year 2

Year 2 have been looking at pattern and colour mixing so far this term. We designed patterns for hot air balloons and used oil pastels to colour them in. We have also been practising mixing secondary colours from primary colours.

Gardening club

The tomatoes have grown. No sign of the potatoes yet. The chard is growing under its anti-slug blanket! We have planted some peas and an orange display.

Year 1 – Experimenting with Pattern

We are going to make some hot air balloons. We’ve been thinking about how we might decorate them so we used lines, shapes and colours to explore patterns we might use.
