Year 4 were lucky enough to spend a day learning about Buddhism at the Manjushri Kadampa Temple in Ulverston. The children walked the 2 miles from school to the centre and were enthusiastic and smiling the whole way. We arrived around 10 o’clock where we were shown into the main building and then taken through to the temple. The children were wonderful and showed great respect throughout. A personal highlight was the oscar-worthy acting involved when telling the story of Prince Siddhārtha. After an interesting hour in the temple, we ate our lunch and headed into the woods to explore.
We would like to say a huge SJB ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who helped make our day some special.
