A few weeks ago, Year 3 planted some sunflower seeds. We were very pleased when they germinated. However, we were disappointed to find out that they had turned into a feast for the slugs.
It was Team SJB to the rescue. Mrs Macleod kindly donated some more plants, After School Club helped with the planting, and, most exciting of all, Lucas donated a big bag of fleece from his sheep. We had been told that slugs don’t like to crawl over sheep’s wool. We also planted some peas and beans in the kitchen garden.
Fingers crossed!
