Sports Hall final- Year 6, 5, 4 and 3. Report by Jacob E and Mr Maher.

25 children from KS2 took part in a Sports Hall Athletics competition on Monday. Year 6 and 5 were there to compete for a place in the county finals.  Year 3 and 4 went in the afternoon for their first taste of athletics against 20 other schools in Furness.

We shall know the full results tomorrow but Year 5 and 6 are currently 3rd out of the 8 Furness finalists. This is based on the running results with the field results still to come. Jacob wrote in his report that Reece and Leven ran like there was no tomorrow.

We know we performed very strongly in the javelin and the speed bounce but we shall have to wait and see. Jacob wrote that Ellis hit the far wall 3 times out of 3 with his javelin. He threw so well that he needed more room. Jack threw his javelin so hard that it hit the wall 6 metres off the ground. It would have carried on for another 10 metres.

Year 3 and 4 will also get their results tomorrow but we couldn’t resist putting some pictures up and saying a massive well done.
