Seven Year 6 children went to Furness College this morning to play 6 games of hockey in a tournament. It was bitterly cold (a mere 5 degrees). Because of this, we had to keep warm by jumping about and blowing on our red hands. But at least it wasn’t raining.
This is Holly’s summary of match 1, 3 and 6.
In the first match we got off to a very good start and scored 2 goals in about 3 minutes. Everyone was confident and played very well.
The third match started slower with more equal sides. The last few minutes were extremely tense with some very close shots on goal. It was the best match so far.
Our last match looked like it was going to be the hardest. Yarlside were an extremely good side and it didn’t look like we were going to win this one.
Holly and the team would like to thank Carys’s dad for driving to Barrow as well. These events cannot happen without parental support.
Final result: 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.
