Year 3 and Year 4 had an action packed day in Manchester. We visited three museums and went to the theatre – all in one day! There was even time for a walk!
At the Jewish Museum we learnt about some Jewish customs and how the Sabbath is celebrated. The children asked lots of interesting questions based on the knowledge they have gained through their RE lessons.
The Football Museum was packed with hands on activities and there was a time for a group photo with the FA Cup Trophy and the Premier League Trophy.
We had a picnic lunch at the Imperial War Museum and then spent two hours looking around. The museum showed two films whilst we were there. Museum staff and some veteran armed forces volunteers were on hand to answer questions.
After a short walk around Salford Quays to look at Media City, we headed back into central Manchester to see Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
The show was amazing and our children loved every minute.
Staff at museum were impressed by SJB children. Their behaviour was excellent and they were incredibly curious. Several theatre goers complimented our staff on the manners and well-behaved excitement of our children.
A HUGE thank you to our helpers, we couldn’t have done it without you and we really hope you’ll come with us again.
