Key Stage One Lowther Castle Trip

Key Stage One recently enjoyed a trip to Lowther Castle near Penrith. Over the Spring term we have thoroughly enjoyed learning about castles and our end of topic trip was a perfect opportunity to show off all our new learning. After a long coach trip Year’s 1 and 2 arrived at the castle and had the opportunity to look around the grounds and gardens. The children were very keen to tell us all about the different features of the castle and the different plants and trees that were growing around the gardens. After a much needed lunch break, the children had chance to play in the Lost Castle adventure playground. They had a fantastic time re-enacting knight and castle games whilst also trying out the zip wire and fireman’s pole. A big thank you to the staff and parent helpers who supported the trip out.
