On Saturday 25th March, Holly from Year 5 took part in the National Schools Cross Country Final at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire. This was a massive event, with big screens , TV cameras and drones, and around 2000 young cross country runners. Holly was part of a team of 10 girls representing Cumbria. After walking the course and noting points of interest (narrow points, muddy sections, hills etc) the race began. Holly ran a race to be proud of. She came 69th out of 220 in her field and was placed 6th in the Cumbria Girls team, a personal best! Well done to Holly for an amazing effort and to her dad for driving her all the way to Leicestershire for the day!
