Gymnastics Level 2 Competition
On Monday 13th March our Key Steps 2 and Key Step 3 gymnasts took part in the Key Steps Level 2 Competition at Furness Academy.
After eating our lunch early and a short bus ride we arrived at the venue feeling rather nervous. We checked in and a few minutes later we were taken to a small gym where we had a slot to warm up. We used the bar to stretch our muscles and the benches for balance. After a while we were called by the School Games Organiser to take our places by the mats and the vault. All the gymnasts were incredibly nervous. It was a very tense afternoon with lots of superb gymnastics going on in front of the judges. Our teams did incredibly well and although we didn’t win on this occasion, we came very close. The gymnasts did SJB proud and we returned to school absolutely exhausted!! A very big thank you to Mrs Dearden and Mrs Parker for training the gymnasts and to Mrs Kelly who helped on the day.
