SJB Science Day

Last Friday, pupils from Year 6 down to Reception joined mixed age groups for SJB’s Science Day.

In all the classrooms there were a variety of experiments and the children took part in seven of them during the course of the day. Some experiments involved working as a team and others involved making a lot of mess.

We had balloon rockets, hovercrafts, salt dissolving, fire, slime (MESS!!!), filtering, egg dropping, the sun’s path, lava lamps and bridge construction as themes.

Year 6 and Year 5 should be congratulated on looking after the younger children so well during the day. All staff praised your efforts!

Staff at SJB always look to give all pupils lots of practical science experiences as well as science trips outside of school.
