Year 4 and 5 have worked closely with The Vine Trust this week to develop their understanding of Global Citizenship and Tanzania. The trust seeks to enable volunteers to make a significant difference to some of the poorest children and communities in the world.
The children learnt about Tanzanian art, communicating in Swahili and about what it means to be a global citizen. Year 5 really focussed on the extremes of wealth and poverty in Tanzania while Year 4 looked in detail at artwork.
Many thanks to Liz Bowes who has very much helped develop the children’s understanding of the world around them.
Asante sana Liz!
