SJB children, staff and parents joined a long procession in the annual Ulverston Carnival on Saturday.
Huge crowds lined the streets of Ulverston as we made our way through the buzzing town centre. You did not have to look very hard to see friends and family in the crowd of onlookers. It is always great to see familiar faces and see everyone having a good time.
Despite the wind and the threat of rain, everyone was in good spirits and we were rewarded with some sunshine. With the band playing just ahead of us, many of the children could be seen breaking into a dance routine with the odd parent showing off their moves as well.
Many thanks to all of those volunteers and staff who helped design the capes for our Brazil theme. They looked superb!
Also a mention to the Year 6 children who joined us behind the SJB banner. You will be missed next year!
A massive thank you to the carnival organisers as well. See you next year!
